What the HULCK Mover does
The HULCK Mover is a heavy-duty electrical platform mover, built to move large, heavy or awkward loads inside production facilities, warehouses, foundries and shipyards. Capacities range from 1 to 500 tons, with battery-electric drive and steering systems that allow the Mover to handle tight floor plans, dock precisely against production lines and travel across plant areas without infrastructure changes.
Unlike forklifts and cranes, the Mover keeps the load stable and flat throughout the entire transfer. The load sits on a low, rigid platform that doesn’t tilt, doesn’t sway and doesn’t depend on operator skill. For coils, ladles, modules, dies, heavy structural parts or fragile assemblies, that stability translates directly into safety, throughput and product integrity.
Every HULCK Mover is configured to its operation. Steering system, platform type, load capacity, control method and accessories are decided together with the customer, based on the floor, the load and the production flow.
Engineered to support your operations
HULCK supplies electrical platform movers for heavy industrial material handling. Each Mover begins with a conversation about your floor, your load and your production flow. From there, we translate operational requirements into a technical specification: dimensions, load capacity, steering system, platform configuration, drive parameters, control mode and safety features.
The specification then becomes the build brief. Dimensional tolerances, weld integrity, hydraulic systems, electrical components and safety devices all follow HULCK standards, supervised by HULCK engineers. The Mover that arrives at your site is engineered to HULCK specifications and supported by our team from commissioning onwards.
The result is a Mover that fits your operation — not a catalogue product adapted afterwards, but a platform built to specification from the start.
Five steering systems. One platform.
Different operations need different ways to move. Some shop floors are open and demand free, omnidirectional travel. Others run on rails and need precise, repeatable positioning. Most sit somewhere in between. The HULCK Mover is available with five steering systems, each chosen to match the floor plan, the load and the way the operation runs.
Platform configurations
The platform is what carries the load. We build the Mover with three core platform configurations, each suited to a different way of presenting and transferring the load. The right configuration depends on what you move, how it docks against your line, and whether the load needs to change height during transfer.
Flat Platform
A rigid, level deck for general heavy-load transfer. Optional fixtures keep specific load types in place during travel: V-frames for coils, U-channels for tubes and profiles, custom brackets for modules, anti-slip surfaces for assemblies. The starting point for most operations.
Scissor Lift Platform
A hydraulic scissor mechanism integrated into the Mover chassis. The platform rises vertically (up to 3 m+) to dock at the working height of an assembly line, a press bed, a storage rack or a connecting conveyor. Combines horizontal travel and vertical positioning in one machine — no need for separate lifting equipment at every station.
Hydraulic Lift Platform
A flat hydraulic lift, suited to high-load applications where the platform raises and lowers as a single rigid surface. Common in foundries for ladle handling, in steel mills for billet transfer, and in any operation where height adjustment must support extreme loads without lateral movement.
Beyond the three core configurations, the Mover can be built with rotating turntables, tilting decks, heated platforms, explosion-proof enclosures, sliding systems, tow couplings, clamping mechanisms or custom fixing systems. Each Mover is built for the load it carries.

Not every steering system suits every load class. Differential steering is typically used up to 30 tons; hydraulic steering takes over for medium and heavy loads; omnidirectional movement is available across the full range with different wheel configurations. We help you choose the right combination during specification, based on your floor, your load and your production flow.
Safety
Heavy loads, moving equipment and operators sharing the same floor make safety non-negotiable. The HULCK Mover is built with redundant safety systems: laser obstacle detection that stops the Mover before contact, anti-collision sensors at all approach directions, emergency stop devices accessible from every operating position, overload alarms tied to the drive system, and limit switches that prevent over-travel on rail-guided configurations. Each Mover is delivered with a full safety report covering the configured features.
Compliance and quality
Every HULCK Mover is built to meet European safety and conformity requirements. As the party placing the Mover on the European market under its own brand, HULCK B.V. acts as manufacturer in the sense of the Machinery Directive and assumes full responsibility for the EC Declaration of Conformity, the technical file and the CE marking on the equipment.
What is covered
- Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Applies until 19 January 2027. HULCK draws up the EC Declaration of Conformity, prepares the technical file, applies the CE mark and supplies the user manual in the language of the operating country.
- Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. Replaces 2006/42/EC from 20 January 2027. Movers delivered from that date forward will be conformity-assessed under the new regulation.
- Type plate. Fixed to the Mover; includes manufacturer (HULCK B.V.), serial number, year of construction, rated load capacity, voltage and CE mark.
- Technical file. Held by HULCK B.V. and made available to surveillance authorities on request, in accordance with the directive.

Optional ATEX certification
For operations in potentially explosive atmospheres — foundries, lithium-ion battery production, certain aerospace and military applications — the Mover can be supplied in an ATEX-conform configuration in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU. This is a separately certified product variant; specify ATEX requirements at the project start.
Compliance is not an afterthought. The technical file and the EC Declaration of Conformity travel with the Mover.
